Working at the Supreme Court
The Supreme Court offers a wide range of career options, both legal and non-legal. All the Court employees are integral to the Court serving the community and providing access to justice. The Court currently employs 60 staff in judicial support roles and 30 staff in administrative roles.
Current employment opportunities for judicial support staff will be listed on this page as they arise. The Court welcomes applications from suitably qualified people.
Applications for 2026 Associateships at the Supreme Court of Western Australia will open early next year. Please click here for further information on the role based on this year’s advertisement. Please note other positions may be advertised on an ad hoc basis throughout the year.
The Court also employs a number of people in administrative roles in the Western Australian public service through the Department of Justice. You can search for vacancies on the government jobs website.

Associate to Master Russell

As compared to other associate positions, this position has a greater focus on the administrative work required to ensure the court hearings operate efficiently and the chambers is organised and well-managed. Legal research skills are desirable but not required.
