Reduced Fees

Form 1

Small business and non-profit associations pay reduced fees. You will need to complete and submit Form 1 (Declaration that a person is a small business or non-profit association) to qualify as a small business or non-profit association. Form 1 is available for download or from the Supreme Court Registry.

Form 2

Eligible individuals and entities also pay reduced fees. An individual or entity may be considered eligible for a fee reduction if they are the holder of a Government issued concession card, on the grounds of financial hardship or in the interests of justice. You can apply to the court for a reduced fee by submitting a Form 2 (Application to Reduce Fee). The Form 2 is available for download on the website, or from the Supreme Court Registry.

When applying for a reduced fee in the eLodgment system on the ecourts portal you must upload the following documents:

• A signed Form 2 (Application to Reduce Fee)
• A scanned copy of both sides of the concession card (if using one)
• A copy of the court document you intend to file.

You will need to apply for the fee reduction before filing your court document.

Individuals who successfully apply for a reduced fee will pay the fee of an eligible individual. Eligible individuals will pay 30% of the individual fee, with the amount capped at $100. Entities which successfully apply for a reduced fee will pay the fee of an eligible entity.

Fee deferrals may still apply in limited matters, including personal injury claims.
