Western Australia’s Supreme Court is now housed across two buildings in central Perth with some criminal matters also held in the District Court building, at the corner of Hay and Irwin Street.

Since early 2016, all Supreme Court civil matters are heard at the David Malcolm Justice Centre at 28 Barrack Street.

That building also houses the Supreme Court’s Registry.

The Court of Appeal Registry remains on the ground floor of the Stirling Gardens building.

The former Legal Practice Board Library - previously located in the Stirling Gardens building - has been amalgamated with the DotAG Law Library. It is a subset of the State Solicitors’ library and does not yet include any of the books from the Stirling Gardens library, although it is proposed to integrate the two libraries in the future.

The existing library is not available to the general public and is for the use of the court, legal practitioners and the SSO only.

Christmas & New Year opening hours -  The Supreme Court, Court of Appeal and Probate registries are open from 9am to 4pm throughout the Christmas and New Year period but are closed on public holidays and weekends.
